​Terms & Conditions

1. Booking and Payment

All bookings must be confirmed in writing by Historical Mysteries Tours. A deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking, with the balance due 60 days prior to departure.

Payment can be made by bank transfer, credit card, or debit card. We accept major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

2. Cancellation Policy

By the Customer:

  • More than 60 days before departure: 15% cancellation fee

  • 30-60 days before departure: 50% cancellation fee

  • Less than 30 days before departure: 100% cancellation fee (no refund)

By Historical Mysteries Tours: In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your tour, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative date.

3. Tour Inclusions and Exclusions

Included:

  • Detailed self-drive itinerary with GPS coordinates

  • Pre-booking assistance for timed entries

  • Historical guidebook and trail materials

  • 24/7 emergency support during tour

Not Included:

  • Car hire, fuel, parking fees, and tolls

  • Accommodation and meals

  • Entry fees to museums, castles, and attractions

  • Travel insurance

  • Personal expenses​​

4. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, trip cancellation, baggage loss, and personal liability. Historical Mysteries Tours is not responsible for any expenses incurred due to travel delays, cancellations, or emergencies.

5. Health and Safety

Participants must be in good health and able to undertake the activities included in the tour. Some tours involve walking on uneven terrain, climbing stairs, and driving on narrow country roads.

If you have any medical conditions or special requirements, please inform us at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

6. Driving Requirements

All drivers must hold a valid driving license recognized in the United Kingdom. International visitors may need an International Driving Permit. Drivers must be at least 25 years old and have held a full license for a minimum of 2 years.

7. Changes to Itinerary

While we make every effort to adhere to the published itinerary, Historical Mysteries Tours reserves the right to make changes due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to weather conditions, road closures, or venue availability. We will notify you of any significant changes as soon as possible.

8. Liability

Historical Mysteries Tours acts only as an agent for tour participants in arranging accommodation, transportation, and other services. We cannot be held responsible for any injury, damage, loss, delay, or irregularity that may occur during your tour through the default or negligence of any company or person engaged in providing services.

9. Complaints

If you have any complaints during your tour, please notify us immediately so we can attempt to resolve the issue. Any complaints must be submitted in writing within 28 days of the tour completion.

10. Data Protection

​We collect and process personal data in accordance with UK data protection laws. Your information will only be used for the purposes of providing tour services and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

11. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
